Important Information

Men’s Ceremony

Date: Monday, February 24, 2020.

Venue: Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibitions & Conferences

Entry time for graduates: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Ceremony starts at: 10:00 a.m.

Gowns, invitations and yearbook:

  • Barcode entry tickets and graduation gowns can be collected between February 2 and February 23, in J2 building, Block B, ground floor, Gowns Distribution Room, from 9am to 5pm (including Saturdays).
  • Before collecting your graduation gown, please pay AED 1050 (Graduation fees including VAT) at the finance office.
  • After collecting your graduation gown, please visit the media studio in J2 to have your graduation photo taken for the yearbook and for displaying on ceremony screens.
  • Each graduate can invite 5 guests to the ceremony. Barcode tickets can be collected along with the graduation gown. No guest will be allowed into the ceremony hall without the ticket.

Time: 3:00 - 5:00 PM

Attending the rehearsals is compulsory.

Notes:

  • Children under 12 are not allowed.
  • Seats cannot be reserved. First come first served.
  • Graduates and guests will not be admitted after 9am.
  • To make use of the interpretation service from Arabic into English, you can collect a translation headset from the reception desk at the ceremony venue.

Women's Ceremony:

Date: Tuesday, February 25, 2020

Venue: Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibitions & Conferences

First Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. (Entry time for graduates: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)

Second Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. (In the presence of male relatives)

Gowns, invitations and yearbook:

  • Barcode entry tickets and graduation gowns can be collected between February 2 and February 23, 2020 in J2 building, Block B, ground floor, Gowns Distribution Room, from 9am to 5pm (including Saturdays).
  • Before collecting your graduation gown, please pay AED 1050 (Graduation Fees including VAT) at the finance office.
  • After collecting your graduation gown, please visit the media studio in J2 to have your graduation photo taken for the yearbook and for displaying on ceremony screens.
  • Each graduate can invite 5 guests to the ceremony. Barcode tickets can to be collected along with the graduation gown. No guest will be allowed into the ceremony hall without the ticket.
  • Graduates and guests are required to wear their wristbands until the end of the ceremony. Without the wristband, the graduate/guest will not be allowed to re-enter if they leave the ceremony hall before the end of the event. No graduates will be allowed in without their university ID.
  • Each graduate can invite three female guests to the first women ceremony and two additional guests to the second ceremony.

Date: Tuesday, February 18, 2020

Time: 1:00 – 3:00 PM

  • No mobile phones or cameras will be allowed during the first ceremony.
  • No deposit point for mobiles and cameras will be available at the ceremony venue.
  • Children under 12 are not allowed.
